Latin American Heritage Month

September 26, 2022-Saint John, NB, - Red Latin@ is pleased to invite the Saint John region general public to celebrate the Latin American Heritage Month.

With the collaboration of community partners like the Saint John Public Library, Saint John Youth Orchestra, Print three, Five and Dime, DJ Mike Red and Blue, University of New Brunswick - MBA Program, among others, we are organising events every Saturday in October. We have sports, food, social and cultural events for all ages, we want to share our Latin heritage with you!

Calendar of Events

  • October 1 - 4:00 - 6:00 pm - Soccer Tournament - Emera NB Field at Shamrock Park
  • October 15 - 2:30 pm - Spanish Story Time - Saint John Public Library (Main Branch)
  • October 22 - 9:00 am - Latin Market & Breakfast - Assumption Centre (721 Chapel St)
  • October 29 - 1:00 pm - Cultural Celebration - Market Square Atrium

  • Every saturday in October - 2:30 pm - Film Festival - Saint John Public Library (Main Branch)

  • October 8 - 10:00 pm - Latin Party - DJ Mike Red & Blue and Five and Dime

  • October 15 - 2:00 pm - Saint John Youth Orchestra Concert - Harbour View High School

These events were possible thanks to the funding provided by Opportunities New Brunswick through their Multicultural Grant Program, the support provided by the City of Saint John and their Ethnocultural Groups Grants program, the University of New Brunswick Saint John MBA Program and the hard work and support of all the board members, volunteers and our community.

  • Red Latin@ Southwest NB is a volunteer-based non-profit organisation whose purpose is to create a network for residents with ties to Latin America to support newcomers in settling in the Southwestern New Brunswick area formed in January 2022.
